MadV: The Humans Project

MadV first emerged on YouTube in  2006. His first video, The Message, is the most-responded-to video in YouTube’s history.

In March 2008 he posted a video called “The Humans Project” which resulted in a video compiled from the user generated video responses from people all over the world answering the question:

“What does it mean to be human?”

Check out the video:  The Meaning

The instructions read:

Take part in The “Humans” Project, a community effort to pin down the elusive description of human nature and what humans are.

Post a video response with your original spoken sentence.

Examples:

“Humans are….”
“To be human is….”
“I am human because….”
“What makes us human is…”

All spoken responses will be considered for the final video project.”

Clive Thompson from Wired writes about MadV.
