Click! Crowd curated photography

The Brooklyn museum had an exhibition going on called Click! back in August which has recently come to my attention.

The exhibition contains a series of photoraphs in the them of “Changing faces of Brooklyn” which were posted on-line.

In the spirit of James Surowiecki‘s  Wisdom of Crowds, this exhibition enabled people to comment on and rate images on their web site. The most popular images appeared in  the museum.

Click! explores whether Surowiecki’s premise can be applied to the visual arts—is a diverse crowd just as “wise” at evaluating art as the trained experts? “
